Decentralisation Scheme

(Special) AUCKLAND. This Day Although no announcement has been made in regard to the inauguration of a system of decentralisation by the Rehabilitation Department, which the Minister told the Dominion council of the R.S.A. would be effected in Auckand, it is understood that much discussion has taken place on the question and that most of the details have been tentatively decided upon. It is believed that it has been decided to set up an Auckland Loans Committee of three, comprising a chairman (not a Government official), a representative of the States Advances Corporation and the District Rehabilitation Officer The work of the loan committees will be practically full-time. The names of Mr. F. Hacked, M.P., chairman of the Local Rehabilitation Committee, and Mr. J. S. Montgomery, chairman of the farming sub-com-mittee are mentione as in line for chairmanship of the committee.
