Farewell Rev. And Mrs. Cole

Hardie, on behalf of the residents, in presenting a cheque to Mr. Cole, spoke of the regret of the people at the departure of Mr. and Mrs. Cole, and their family. The deep sincerity of Mr. and Mrs. Cole, he said, had endeared them to (he people of .the district. The presentation of a bouquet was made to Mrs. Cole. Appreciation of the loyalty and friendship shown by the people of the district to himself, his wife, and family, was expressed by Mr. Cole, when thanking Mr. Hardie and (he people for their gift. On the occasion of the last visit of Mr. Cole to Glenbervie, local residents gathered to bid him and Mrs. Cole farewell and a presentation was made, not only to Mr. and Mrs. Cole, but also to their two children. Having formed the scout troop in Hikurangi four years ago, and carried out the duties of scoutmaster during that period.
