Plan To Nationalise Coal, Gas, Electricity
(Dee. 1.30 p.m.) LONDON, April 30. The Labour Party has issued its piaas for complete nationalisation of coal, gas and electricity at every stage from pit to factory and home, saws the "Dnilv Mail.”
The - party's pamphlet suggests a national coal and power corporation to own and supervise all the industries concerned, also coal, gas and electricity boards being established under the corporation. It adds that a local coal board, working solely in the public interest, would be responsible for nil operational activity in the productive sphere. A marketing board would regulate prices and exports. The report will be discussed at »ho party’s annual conference at Whitsun.
