More Heavy Blows At Japanese 'Dro mes

(Rec. 3.30 p.m.) SYDNEY. This Day. Heavy air blows against Japanese aerodromes are reported in General MacA'.rthur’s communique today. Forestalling any enemy attempt again to land planes in the Wewak area, American bombers hit four aerodromes there with 188 tens of bombs. Many hits were recorded on runways.

Attack planes, in low-flying sweeps, completed the destruction of grounded enemy planes located in . dispersal areas. Other heavy units bombed aerodromes in the Sarong and Babo areas. Dutch New Guinea.

Kavicng aerodrome, in New Ireland, and five aerodromes in the Rabaul area. New Britain, were attacked. At Rabaul 125 tons of bombs were dropped. At Bougainville, supply dumps, gun positions, buildings and shore installations were bombed.
