Demobilisation Plans In South Africa

CAPETOWN. April 28
Extensive demobilisation plans were announced in the South African Assembly by the Minister for Welfare and Demobilisation (Mr. Harry Lawrence). These include cash gratuities ranging from 30/- for Europeans to 5/- for natives for every month of service regardless of rank. Grants of £250 and loans of £1250 without interest will be available for the first five years. Plans for new housing. education and employment also are announced.
Mien who held jobs before enlistment will be guaranteed employment for 12 months after demobilisation.
