WELLINGTON, This Day

Work on the wharves, which excepting two ships, ceased yesterday as a protest against the alleged use of unsafe gear arising from the death of a watersider who was crushed by a broken derrick, was resumed normally to-day. Work will cease to-morrow afternoon for the funeral of the victim.
