ALMOST AFRAID TO SPEAK AT ALL
(Rec. 1.30 p.m.) NEW YORK. April 26. “How does it feel to be one of the tight little company of anxious men aware of the day, the hour, and place of the forthcoming invasion of Europe?” a “New York T r mes” reporter, Anne O’Hare McCormick, asked the Canadian Prime Minister (Mr. Mackenzie King). He replied that the secret pressed so heavily on his mind that he was almost afraid to speak on any subject lest he let fall a hint of what he knew'. Miss McCormick says the plans were reduced to writing long ago when the timetable was fixed, but less than a dozen men in Washington and perhaps a dozen in London know the secret.
