(P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Advice that the King had approved of tlie award of the Distinguished Gondttct .Medal to Corporal John Denvir. "in recognition of gallant and distinguished service in the livid." has been received by tlie Minister for Defence (Hon. F. .lottos). It was recently announced that Corporal Denvir had been awarded the Soviet Medal for Valour. Corporal Dem ir became well known through his exploits while leading a battalion in the Yugoslav Partisan Army, after his escape from the Germans, following the Grecian campaign.
