Plans Amalgamation Of 6 Hospital Boards

(Special) AUCKLAND, This Day. With the object of discussing a proposal for amalgamation of hospital boards in Northland, the Minister for Health (Hon. A. H. Nordmeyer) is proceeding to Whangarei today. He stated that Whangarei, Kaipara, Hokianga. Bay of Islands. Whansaroa and Mangonui Hospital Board were affected.

Discussion in the meantime is to be of an exploratory nature, said 'the Minister. If the six boards will agree to it, legislation will be required lo give effect to the proposal.
