Next-of-Kin Baby Entrant For Competition

Discussion regarding the association’s entrant for the Whangarei 1944 Patriotic Baby Appeal in aid of patriotic funds, occurred at the monthly meeting of the Whangarei Next-of-kin Association, held on Thursday in the Y.W.C.A. Hall. Five babies have been entered by wives of servicemen overseas for nomination as next-of-kin baby in the competition. On a certain date, probably at the end of next month, the baby which has received the most support within the next-of-kin association will be nominated as the entrant and will participate in the competition, receiving the support of the entire association.

An interesting address was given to the large attendance by Mr. H. C. Rishworth. who outlined the growth and development of Rotary since its inception. Business of a personal nature relating to returnel servicemen and overseas soldiers was dealt with by the executive.
