Mangonui Riding Rates
(Special) KAITAIA, This Day. Mangonui County Councillors at the monthly meeting, were well pleased wit hrate collections, returns from the ridings being: Kaitaia, 94.63 percent: Victoria Valley, 93 per cent; Mangonui, 92.94. per cent; Herekino, 92.64 per ceiit; Ahipara, 87.45 per cent; Awanui, 85.89 per cent; Houhora, 66 The county showed a credit balance of £2158/11/- at the end of the financial year 1943-44. The traffic inspector’s report showed that £2232 were collected in heavy traffic fees. About 100 driving tests had been made.
