Plunket Society Entertains Whangarei Mothers
Tendered the Plunket mothers cf Whangarei and tlie district by the committee oi' the Whangarei branch of the Plunket Society an enjoyable social was held in the Y.W.C.A. yesterday. For use as a mu scry, a room was set aside for the children; who were cared for by Plunket aides. Visiters and members were welcomed by lhe president (Mrs. W. T. Surman) and later Mrs. W. A. Christiansen spoke on Plunket activities. Mrs. T. Kearney l hanked performers. Items were given by Mrs. T. Griffin. Mrs. B. A. Wolff, accompanied by Mrs. G. E. Woolley, and pupils of Miss Shirley Maxwell, who gave a ballet and dance. Mrs. T. B. Marshall played for a community sing. Aficrnoon ten was served by members of the committee and sub-committee.
