More Like a Domain, But Not Finished Yet

Once a splendid example of gorse growth, the Ahipara Memorial Domain under the care of an energetic committee, is beingc changed into a useful and decorative area. The Trustee of the Committee (Mr. L. G. Thompson) writing to the Mangonui County Council, thanked them and the County Foreman (Mr. Holmby) for the help given and enclosing payment for the use of the county grader. “Your council will be interested to learn," wrote Mr. Thompson, "that in (he past eight monthse we have spent the sum of £lO7 on this area. We still have a small credit balance in the bank and have no liabilities. However, the job is not yet half finished but we intend to see it through.’’ The domain when cleared and grassed is to be used as a sports area for the school children and youth of Ahipara.
