GOODISON—WRIGHT

The marriage was quietly solemnized at Christ Church, Whangarei, on the afternoon of March 6, of Miss Jean Harding Wright, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. Harding Wright, of Parua Bay and Sapper R. J. Goodison (on furlough from the Middle East), son of Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Goodison, of Herne Bay, Auckland. The Rev. A. E. Prebble M.A., officiated at the ceremony and Mr. A. Marsden Woods played the wedding music. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, wore a charming ensemble of soft dusky pink with a matching felt hat and a shoulder spray of pink and wine roses and carnations. She carried an ivory prayer book with pink ribbon. Miss Nancy Wright( sister of the bride, as bridesmaid, wore a hydrangea blue frock and felt hat with shoulder spray cl wine flowers. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Sapper M. Goodison, recently returned from the Middle East, as best man. Both the bride's grandmothers, Mrs. A. M. Clotworthy, of Whangarei, and Mrs. W. Harding Wright, of Bayswnter, Auckland were present at the wc ading. After the ceremony, the bride's mother, assisted by her husband. received her guests at a reception in the parish hall. She was wearing a smart nav.v blue ensemble with shoulder spray of primrose flowers. Mrs. Goodison, the bridegroom s mother, was in black with touches ot pink and a shoulder spray of pale pink flowers. , After the ceremony, the happy couple left amid showers of confetti and goou wishes for a tour of New Zealand.
