Whangarei Man Missing A middle-aged man, Sam Carpenter, a three-quarter caste Maori, lias been missing irorn his home on Lirneburners Creek, Whangarei, since Saturday evening. He was seen by children on the Kioreroa hills on Sunday but since then no trace ol' him has been found. Kaikohe Hospital Rating A 10-year increase of 550 per cent in hospital rating was disclosed by the Kaikohe town clerk (Mr K. W. Harold) at this week’s Town Board meeting. Parking at Fire Station “The entrance must always be kept clear,” remarked the chairman of the Kaikohe Town Board (Mr. G. S. Penney). when il was decided to accede to the Keikohea Volunteer Fire Brigade’s request to place a “No Parking” sign outside the station.
