The Young Northlander
hello everybody,
I really wanted Kupe to write to you this week, for he has been home for a short time. But he says he is too tired after fishing. It’s another fish story, for he and the S.P’s went eeiing in the nearby creek. Kupe did catch one eel but the S.S.P. caught a bigger one. I really think that particular eel wanted to be caught by the S.S.P. for it got on her hook four times before we landed him.
Our four cats are very grateful to her and to Kupe for their efforts at fishing. Kupe has raised enough energy to ask that I say cheerio to you for him. Perhaps the fact that he has to return to camp is making him avoid any exertion. He has to rise so early to catch the bus, you see, and even after a long period of camp training, he still finds that difficult. As I also have to rise early to see that he does, I will say cheerio too. RARANGA* Princess Northland Tribe
