Goebbels Looks For Silver Lining

LONDON, February 27

“We are faced with the task of steadying ourselves for the last decisive phase of this war and preparing ourselves for it, materially, morally •any psychologically," said Goebbels in a speech just released by the German News Agency. "We old party leaders know that each crisis will be followed by a redeeming hour of golden opportunity and are convinced that this again will happen. “Our civilian population is standing up well to the horrors of bombing. The steadily growing strength of our anti-aircraft defences and our air attacks against England prove our increasing strength, and there are prospects .that we shall completely regain the initiative within a reasonable time."
