7567 N.Z. Prisoners

(P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The pi’isoners of war inquiry office reports that a further 32 of the prisoners formerly in Italy are accounted for. All have been transferred to German camps. The inquiry office reports that, according to its records, there are now ? approximately 7567 New Zealand prisoners of war, including those in Japanese hands. The total is rpade up of army personnel 6831, air force 447, navy 44, merchant seamen and civilians 245.
