Anti-Aircraft Rockets
LONDON, February 25.
Some details of Britain’s anti-air-craft rockets which for months observers have seen bursting during raids in red masses which fill large expanses of the sky, are disclosed by the Press Association. These projectiles, which have accounted for a number of enemy planes, rocket skywards with a terrific rushing noise like an express train. The weapon was first originated several winters ago by scientists working secretly in a shack near London. They found that results could not be fully tested in Britain, therefore the party sailed to Jamaica in search of fine weather and there carried out a series of successful experiments, after which the first rocket gun was completed. Details of the construction and design of the weapon still cannot be divulged.
