Nash Has Authority To Negotiate In London

(P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. “We have never sent Ministers abroad without authority,” declared the Prime Minister (Hon. P. Fraser) in the House of Representatives yesterday, ahswering an urgent question by Mr A. J. Murdoch (Nat., Marsden), concerning Mr Nash’s negotiations in London.

Mr Murdoch inquired if Mr Nash had authority to conduct discussions which, accenting to the Minister for Marketing, related to increases in prices of materials paid by New Zealand for British goods relative to New Zealand products. Mr Fraser said that Mr Nash had full authority to discuss the relationship between British manufactures sent to New Zealand and prices received lot Dominions’ products.
