Trial Of Ex-Auckland Man Starts In London
(Special) LONDON, January 18. The trial at the Central Criminal Court of the former Aucklander, Rex Morley Hoyes, managing director of Cunliffe Owen Aircraft, Limited, who was accused of making gifts of £IOOO and £2OO to Harold Lavers Armstrong, of the Ministry for Aircraft Production, and Henry George Bloss, who •were summoned for accepting such gifts. The three defendants who are on bail, pleaded not guilty. Sir Patrick Hastings', K.C., and Mr. E. R. Richardson are appearing for Hoyes.
