Police Rush House In Daws Arrest
(P.A.) PAHIATUA, This Day. A shooting affray occurred at Pori. 20 miles from Pahiatua yesterday afternoon when Godfrey Neville Green was shot in the left arm and left side of the chest with a revolver. The police and a doctor were summoned from Pahiatua and invetsigations were made. Later a police inspector at Palmerston North was advised and a party of police despatched from Palmerston North last night. The home of William Robert Alfred Hollis, farm manager, of Pori, was surrounded and the police rushed it at dawn this morning to find Hollis in bed. He was brought to Pahiatua this morning and charged in the police court) before justices of the peace with attempted murder and was remanded for seven days to appear in Palmerston North. Green’s condition is not regarded as serious and he will be taken today into Masterton Hospital for X-ray.
