984 Flayers Compete In Dominion Bowls Fours

(P.A.) DUNEDIN, This Day. A total of 984 players is engaged in the fours competition at the championship bowling tournament. Weather conditions were almost perfect for the two rounds played yesterday and section play will continue until Thursday. Post-section play begins on Friday. The present champion four skipped by P. Munn (Canterbury) won both games, the second by the high score of 37 to 21. Among the high scoring games E. McFaul (Tainui, Dunedin)) beat J. E. Gray (Kia Toa, Timaru), 40 to 30, but the most decisive win of the day was scored by T. F. Mitchell (Blenheim) against H. Stoneman (Sumner), the margin being 41 to 5.
