Dalgety and Company Ltd. reports having held the advertised Broadwood sailon Wednesday when a fair yarding ol cattle came forward to a large bench of buyers. Competition was keen through' cut. and a total clearance was effected. Quotations: Fat Hereford cross cows £7 to .£7/5/-; lighter £5 to £5/10/-; store Hereford P.A. cows £4/5/- to £5; Jersey (ows and calves £3/10/- to £4/10/-; 3year Shorthorn steers £4/15/- to XG/12/-; year coloured steers £4/15/- to £5/5/-; 5-year Herford steers £5/5/- to £/12/-: 1-year P.A. steers (small) £4/18/-; 1-year coloured steers 33/- lo £3/5/-; Hereford 3-year hull IP! guineas.
