Whangarei Win In Dargaville Bowling
A team from the Whangarei Bowling Club, skipped by Whitclaw, was successful in carrying off the trophy for the Dargaville Bowling Club’s December fullrink tourney, comprising five games of 10 beads. Six teams emerged from the two sections to contest post-section play, victory ultimately going to the Whangarei team skipped by Whitclaw, which defeated Dargaville by two points after an extra head had been played. Whangarei, Kensington, Ruawai, Maungaturoto and Dargaville Bowling Clubs were represented and 24 teams were entered, The winning team was composed of F. Thomas, Dr. Campbell, G. Wilding «and, M. White-law (skip).
