Heavy Demand On New Road Service
Since the re-establishment of the road passenger transport service between Auckland and Whangarei the public has made heavy demands, indicating the popularity and convenience of the service. Coaches have been laden on trips to and from Whangarei and Auckland on each day since the re-commencement of the service on Monday, and inquiries reveal that bookings between now and Christmas are heavy. On Christmas Eve two buses will make the journey to Whangarei, the addition of one bus having been necessary to cope with the demand, while two buses will leave Whangarei for Auckland on Christmas Day. These are the only extra trips which have so far been arranged.
