Won’t Take So Long To Finish Off Japanese
(Rec. 11 a.m.) PRETORIA, Dec. 14. Field Marshal Smuts, in a speech or. his return from Britain, said he did not think it would take as long to finish Japan as some people thought and added that the Japanese weakness was in shipping, in which she had suffered severely. He did not think Japan’s downfall would be brought about entirely by island hopping.
