Christmas Pantomime

The Whangarei Patriotic Amusement Committee is presenting its second annual children’s pantomime for patriotic funds at the Town Hall for three nights and one matinee commencing next Monday. It will be remembered that the presentation of Jack and the Beanstalk was highly successful last year, and this year’s offering “Cinderella, oi the Glass Slipper” promises to equal its predecessor. Rehearsals are going ahead rapidly and when the curtain goes up on the first night a word perfect production can be expected. The Auckland Amateur Operatic Society has loaned most of the costumes and as the value of these alone is in the vicinity of £2OO it will be seen that a dressy spectacle is promised An exceptional cast has been gathered together for the production.
