Brazilian Force To Serve In Europe Or North Africa
LONDON, December 13. Thirteen Brazilian Army officers, headed by General de Moraes, have arrived in North Africa to arrange for the reception of the Brazilian Expeditionary Corps. General de'Moraes, who is shortly returning to Brazil to arrange the embarkation of units, disclosed that Brazil is sending air force units and ground staff, to serve at the discretion of the Allied Commander-in-Chief either in Europe or North Africa. The Brazilian units would retain their identity and serve under the Brazilian colours. Several members of the Brazilian advance party will remain at Allied headquarters to prepare for the arrival of the Brazilians. Others will tour the Mediterranean,. Major-General Ord, chairman of the American-Brazil Defence Commission, said that Brazilian army equipment was being standardised. It largely comprised American artillery, medium and heavy tanks, also fighter and bomber planes. Colonel Seceo, of the - Brazilian Air Force, accompanied General de Moraes.
