Racecourse Hospital

(Special) AUCKLAND, This Day. Application for the use of the Ellerslie Racecourse buildings as a clearing hospital for sick and wounded servicemen from overseas has been made by the Health Department to the Auckland Racing Club. This information was contained in a letter from the department received by the hospital board, the Department asking the board to act as its agent in administering. The hospital board agreed to act as the department’s agent and the matter was referred to the chairman (Mr Allan J. Moody) with power to act.
