Kawakawa Nurses’ Home
Good progress is being made by the Public Works Department in erection of the new Nurses’ Home block on the Kawakawa Hospital Grounds.’ A specious, well-lighted and modern building is in course of construction. Outside walls, tiled roof : and much of the ground-floor boarding are. complete, but ceilings, topstorey floor and walls have yet to be .built. The home will incorporate two commodious sittingrooms, a diningroom, suite of - rooms exclusively- for the use of the matron, bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen .-and 'refrigerator room. The two latter are semi-detached from the main building.. A wide staircase will lead up from the main door, while a separate door and stair will give access to the .matron's., suite.
