Happiness Club Activities
About 80 children attended an afternoon arranged for them in the Y.W.C.A. during the holidays. Mothers and friends also were present. The programme of items and games was in the hands of Mrs. Kitcat. Songs, recitations, violin and pianoforte solos were given entirely by the.children. Afternoon tea was served.
On September 13. members spent a pleasant afternoon as guests of the Home (League. I At the general meeting on September i 15, after numerous business matters had [been dealt with, an interesting address I was given by Mrs. Goodall on housekeeping problems in Africa. Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses.
At a private dance held in the Y.W.C.A. a Monte Carlo was won by Mr. and Mrs. Maunsell and the spot waltz by Mrs. Maddren and Mr. Gardner. Mr. Babe was M.C.
At the usual monthly dance held in the Parochial Hall the winners of the Monte Carlo were Mrs. Martin and partner. Mr. Wilding was M.C. ,
