Health Stamps Sell Well

(P.A.) WELLINGTON. This Day. The first dav’s sales of heahh stamps throughout the Dominion realised just under £15,000, whereas proceeds for the whole of last year’s campaign, lasting five months, totalled a little over £16,000. On fhe first day Wellington sold approximately £6OO worth. Christchurch -a similar amount. Auckland £SOO and Dunedin £4OO. Hawera appears to be the best cf the smaller towns with over £IOO. Sales made overseas from the Chief Post Office already total over £IO.OOO. Six million of each of the two new health stamps have been printed. If all are sold, health camps will benefit by over £30,000. Already a seventh of the total number of stamps has been sold, representing about £SOOO for health camps. The authorities do not intend to print more than the 12.000.000 stamps already printed.
