Value Of Education Realised By Industry
(Rec. 12.30 p.m.) RUGBY, Sept. 28, The president of the Board of Education (Mr Butler), who is visiting various parts of the country to hear the views on the Government’s educational proposals, stated at Newcastle that his tour was part of a democratic procedure which would be of the utmost value in determining the final plan. He added that if the present plans were delaved. they would be lost in the. welter of demobilisation problems. He welcomed tlie co-operation of industry, and said industry was beginning to realise that it could not solve its problems without education.
