Rhineland Bombed
LONDON, September 27. An Air Ministry communique says that Mosquitoes last night bombed targets in the Rhineland. United States Flying Fortresses attacked targets in Emden. Flying Fortresses attacked the airfield at Rheirns late Sunday night, states a joint British and United States communique. United States Army Air Force Thunderbolts and Royal Air Force, Dominion and Allied Spitfires supported the bombers. None of our aircraft is missing. Two Royal Air Force fighters are missing from an offensive patrol over France earlier in the day.
