Personnel Of Kaikohe Rehabilitation Cmttee.

(Special) KAIKOHE, This Day. The following have been appointed members of the Kaikohe Rehabilitation Committee by the Rehabilitation Board: Mr. G. S. Penney (Local Authorities Representative). Mr. W. Yorke (R.S.A.), Mr. A. C. Douglas (organised Labour), Mr. W. Stewart (business representative), and Mrs. M. E. Fricker (W.W.S.A.). The Member of Parliament for the district will be a member of the committee ex officio. Mr.. J. Adam (of the Social Security Department), will act as secretary: For many years a successful businessman in Kaikohe, Mr. Penney is chairman of the Town Board, having taken a keen interest in local body affairs for a number of years. Mr, Yorke, who served in the last War and in the early stages of the present war as ah instructor, has been to the fore in all R.S.A. matters in kaikohe and Northland. Farming a .property at Matai'aiia, Mr. Dohglas has been interested and active in Labour and farming circles for a number of years.

Although he has only been a resident in.Kaikohe for about three years,. Mr, W. Stewart has taken such a keen interest in the welfare of the district that he was elected chairman of the Chamber of Commerce in 1941... He is-a returned soldier of the last war. Representing the W.W;S»A.. Mrs. Pricker is well known for her interest in women’s organisations throughout the -Kaikohe and middle north districts.
