Troop mail is not affected by the prohibitions. The countries and territories now on the prohibited list for newspapers are:— Northern Ireland. Eire, Afghanistan, Andorra, China, Egypt, Iceland, Irak, Iran, Liberia, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tangier, Tibet, Turkey, Russia, Vatican City, Yemen, the Persian Gulf ports of Bahrein, Dubai, Kuwait, Muscat and Suarja. In addition to these any dependencies of any of these territories, or of Denmark, Belgium and France are prohibited.
