Storm In Auckland

(Special)

AUCKLAND, This Day

Auckland continues to experience changeable weather with only occasional glimpses o£ sunshine. Today, however, there are signs of improvement. Almost continuous rain fell during a northerly storm which covered the city and province yesterday. Conditions on the harbour were rough, wind reaching almost half-gale force in exposed parts. Small boats at their moorings tossed about, but no damage is reported. At Northcote, street lighting was extinguished for a time when the wind blew two wires together and caused a fuse to binm out, but repairs were quickly effected.
