British, Turkish Accord
ANKARA. July 2-5. The Turkish Foreign Minister (Menemaneioglu) in an article in the semiofficial newspaper “Ulus” on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Lausanne Treaty said: “Turkey and Britain, her adversary of 2o tears ago. today ate united in au alliance limited neither in time nor in object. No shadow and ,!0 hesitation darkens that alliance. Turkey, who considers the Lausanne Treaty as fundamental law. has her place today beside Britain who follows an idem similar to Turkey's." An unknown submarine sank the Turkish 2HO-ton motor-boat Gurpinar at the entrance to the Bosphorus, says an Istanbul message. The Gurpinar was proceeding to Bulgaria.
