Swedish Ship Sunk
(Rec. 10.45 a.m.) NEW YORK. Juno 23. The Swedish Lloyd liner, Venezia, has been torpedoed and sunk. All the crew landed at Rio de Janeiro after being in lifeboats for two days. This is the 11th Swedish ship sunk in American waters. On June 2 Sweden protested to Germany against the torpedoing of the motorship Induetria on March 3 off the Brazilian coast.
