Anti-Allied Moves In Mexico, Argentina

MEXICO CITY, June 27 Four hundred Mexican National University students demonstrated for two hours against the United State: as a protest against the Los Angeles zootsuit clashes. The students booed Ezequiel Padilla, Ambassador to Washington and began to march to the United States embassy but police barred the approaches. Students hissed stores with American signs, and applauded German signs and jeered at Americans and against Padilla. Groups are statec to have played on the feelings of students, but only" 400 of 15,000 responded. At Buenos Aires, the police closed the headquarters of the pro-Allied Argentine women’s organisation and stopped other volunteer groups preparing bandages and other medical supplies for the Allied forces.
