Mr. Hubert Lepton

OBITUARY

Member of a well-known Whangarei family, and himself widely respected in Northland farming circles, Mr. Hubert Lupton has died after a long illness, during the latter portion of which he' was an inmate of an Auckland private hospital. Born in Whangarei 41 years ago, he attended the Whangarei High School,. of which his father, the late Mr. Roger Lupton, was at that time principal. For a short period after leaving school he assisted his brother Roger in development of a bush farm near Fairburns’ Line, Mangonui County, and in 1925 took over his own property at Parahi, Matakohe. Here he married Miss Flossie Joyce Dreadon, who, with her small son and daughter are left. His mother and two sisters reside at the family home of “Otanangarei,” Whangarei, and Mr. Roger Lupton is at Fairburns’ Line.

Following a service at Christ Church, Whangarei, at 2 p.m. on Friday", the funeral for Kamo cemetery.
