Special Camera Spies On French Coast

(Rec. 11 p.m.) LONDON. May 17. Photographs of enemy-occupied territory taken from the cliffs of Dover by a special telescopic camera, appear in the “Daily Express” today. They show in full detail the country 10 miles' inland' from the French coast. Churches, houses, military huts, pill-boxes, trenches and other fortifications can be clearly seen. The furthest object was more than 30 miles from the camera site. *

The camera, which is 10 feet long, was fitted with heavy infra-red plates. The photographs have great military value.
