Y.W.C.A. Travel Talk

Between 40 and SO wet but keen travellers found refuge in the cosy club room of the Y.W.C.A., for the opening of the Y.W.C.A. Travel Club. The speaker. Colonel J. B. Wilson, United States Marine Corps, was introduced by the president of the Y.W.C.A. (Mrs W. J. Court). Colonel Wilson, speaking on the peoples and country of Iceland gave a most interesting and vivid picture of a country the assembly had known little. The guests appreciated the opportunity of hearing Colonel Wilson speak, and being able to chat informally with him after his talk. So enjoyable was the evening that invitations are already being sought for the next meeting of the Travel Club, when Mrs M. Hill will speak on Japan.
