Offensive In Pacific
NEW YORK, April 7.
Mr Nash’s statement that an offensive is to be expected in the Pacific simultaneously with the projected Allied invasion of Europe may be optimistic, but indicates that things are moving, the “New York Times.” Growing Allied aerial superiority in the Pacific and the quick recovery of the American Navy has laid a basis for a campaign. The change in Pacific plans may be an explanation for Japan’s husbanding her fighting forces and Tojo’s statement that the war is becoming more serious, therefore Japan must increase her fighting strength.
