New York Out Of Gas
NEW YORK, Dec. 18
Only a day's supply of petrol is left in New’ York city area, according to the
‘•Herald-Tribune.” Mr. La Guardia requested Washington to speed emergency supplies in order to keep police, fire and sanitation vehicles operating.
Petrol companies said there were more ration coupons than petrol, and added that driving must be reduced 50 per cent.
