Film Of Dominion Troops In Libya
(Special) LONDON, June 11. The New Zealand High Commissioner (Mi W. J. Jordan), Brigadier R. S. Park, Lieut.-Colonel R. S. Halliwell. Dr. R. M. Campbell and heads of departments at New Zealand House saw two excellent films about New Zealanders which will shortly bo generally distributed throughout Britain.
The Ministry for Information showed New Zealanders training for the November Libyan battle, being reviewed by General Auchinleck and General Freyfcerg and then in action, ft is regarded as the best film for publicising Now Zealand’s war effort to be shown in Britain since the war started.
A "March of Time" film showed Singapore and also New Zealand's strategic position and the life of the Dominion.
Seeing shots of New Zealand soldiers prompts thoughts of what a
grand film could be taken of New Zealand airmen and sailors in Britain. There is nothing to prevent it—except that nobody is apparently bothering about it.
