Economist Receives Barony
(Rcc. 3 p.m.) • '“LONDON. June 10. In a long list of birthday honours published on Friday morning. Mr. J. M. Keynes, the distinguished economist. becomes a baron. Mr Augustus John, the eminent portrait painter, receives the Order of Merit: Sir Charales Portal becomes Knight Grand Cross of the Order of the Bath, and Air-Marshal Harris becomes Knight Commander of the Order of the Bath.
