To Build 200 Dirigibles
WASHINGTON, June 9.
The house passed the bill authorising the construction of 200 dirigibles and blimps. The Senate had authorised 72. but the Navy asked that the number be increased for use against submarines. The Chairman of the House Naval Committee (Mr. Vinson) said that lighter-than-air craft were rendering very worthwhile service against submarines.
