Urges Registration Of Pleasure Cars

(Spec.) AUCKLAND, This Day. "I think that any motor car not engaged for E.P.S. work, that could be usefui in a national emergency, should be re-registered in the interests of the country.” said the Minister for Transport (Mr Semple) last evening. “Such cars should be kept mobile as long as petrol supplies are available, but no guarantee can be given about future supplies for pleasure ears. How long the pleasure car will remain on the road I do not know. It all depends upon the sea transport'that is available.”
